TEDNE (This Engineer Does Not Exist) is a community-driven platform that acts as the “Rotten Tomatoes” of tech hiring. We collect, analyze, and contextualize job listings to expose impossible requirements, broken hiring flows, and misleading practices.

Who is JobGoblin?

JobGoblin is our savage AI persona that roasts job ads for realism. He calculates the Bullshit Score and calls out listings that demand seniority levels higher than the age of the technology itself.

Why are you doing this?

Recruiting is broken. Between ghost jobs, unrealistic expectations, and opaque interview processes, candidates are burning out. TEDNE exists to bring radical transparency back into hiring, using data, humor, and community signal.

Is my submission anonymous?

Yes. Privacy is a core principle. Anonymous submissions are supported, and all screenshots pass through a de-identification pipeline that blurs names, photos, and personal contact details before publication.

What should I submit?

Any job ad that made you stop scrolling. Unrealistic stacks, “entry-level” roles asking for 5+ years, broken application flows, ghost postings, or anything that smells off.

How do you calculate the Crowd Score?

The Crowd Score is a Rotten-Tomatoes-style metric derived from community reactions (🤡 🧟‍♂️ 🔥), votes, and reports. It reflects whether a job is seen as realistic, or pure fantasy.

My company was roasted. Can I fix it?

Yes. While we don’t remove legitimate roasts, we offer JD Validator Pro, a B2B tool to audit, rewrite, and sanity-check job ads so they’re market-realistic and JobGoblin-proof before posting.

Is this legal?

Yes. TEDNE operates under satire, fair use, and commentary principles. We analyze publicly available job listings to promote transparency and better hiring practices.

How do I get my company’s “Reality Scorecard”?

Companies can subscribe to the Employer Reality Scorecard API, which lets them embed a verified transparency score on their own career pages, signaling fair and honest hiring to candidates.
